Freezer Repair in Roseburg and Douglas County

A freezer that drifts warm can cost you a season of meat and berries in one afternoon. Chest, upright, and built in units, diagnosed quickly and priced before the work starts.

Call 541-237-2237

We repair chest, upright, and built in freezers in Roseburg and the surrounding Douglas County towns. Frost buildup, warm compartments, and units that run without stopping are the usual calls. A freezer problem has a clock on it, so we fit these visits in as early as we can and price the repair before work starts.

We are a locally owned company, and freezer calls get real numbers before opinions. A box that is not cooling at all and a box that is not cooling enough are different problems with different fixes. Checking actual temperatures at the coil and in the cabinet is how we tell a minor defrost part from a sealed system problem.

What We Check and Repair

First we get real numbers. We put a meter on the box, check the temperature at the coil, and see whether the unit is cooling at all or just not cooling enough. Those two problems lead down different paths.

Frost and warm spots usually trace to the defrost system: the defrost heater, the bimetal thermostat, the timer or control board, and a drain line that ices shut and backs water into the cabinet. Sealed system symptoms look different, with a compressor that hums and a coil that never gets cold, and we test for those rather than assuming the worst on a unit that only needs a $40 part.

We also check the boring things that cause a lot of calls. A door or lid gasket that no longer seals, a hinge sagging just enough to leave a gap, condenser coils packed with dust, or a condenser fan that stopped turning. Our Certified Master Appliance Technician verifies the box holds temperature before the visit ends.

Symptoms We See Most

Most freezer calls we run start with one of these, and the clock matters once food is involved.

  • Food softening or partly thawed
  • Heavy frost on the walls or coils
  • Compressor runs and never cycles off
  • Water on the floor under the unit
  • Lid or door seal not holding
  • Clicking every few minutes

Brands We Service

We work on all major brands, gas and electric. Having the model number ready helps us arrive with the right parts on the truck, so send a photo of the model plate with your request if you can find it.

How a Service Call Works

You pick a day and a morning or afternoon window. We show up, look at the freezer, and find the real cause. The grand opening diagnostic is $99, and that $99 goes toward the repair when you have us do the work.

Before anything gets replaced, you get an upfront price for parts and labor and you approve it. No surprise line items at the end. We serve Roseburg, Sutherlin, Winston, and the rest of Douglas County.
